Programmes for Initial Professional Qualification (PQPI)

Official Notification for 2008

The Servei d'Ocupació de Catalunya is promoting, through this official notification, the awarding of subsidies for undertaking Programmes of Initial Professional Qualification. These programmes aim to provide young people aged between 16 and 24 with basic and professional training that will provide them with satisfactory social and occupational insertion as well as their continuous training.

This Order of the Departament de Presidència jointly officially notifies the authorisation for the undertaking and awarding of subsidies.

Beneficiaries of the subsidy

The training centres and entities inscribed in the Registry of training centres of the Servei d'Ocupació de Catalunya which the Department d'Educació has previously authorised in the same official notification.

Target groups

Young people aged between 16 and 24 who have not obtained the ESO certificate (Compulsory Secondary Education). The minimum percentage of unemployed workers for this official notification is 60%.

• Order PRE/308/2008, of the 13 June, which establishes the authorisation procedure for Programmes of Initial Professional Qualification, and which regulates the rules for awarding subsidies for these programmes and opens the official notification for the 2008-2009 academic year.
